FORT WASHINGTON, Pa. (CBS) – Police say two people have died following a two-car crash in Montgomery County Monday afternoon.

The crash happened at about 1:15 p.m. in the northbound lanes of Route 309 near the Camp Hill Road overpass in Fort Washington. Police say two people were pushing a disabled vehicle when they were struck by a passing car.

(UPDATE:  Officials later said the two people killed had not been pushing their disabled car.  See related story.)
