One of the things I love about golf is the way it challenges you on so many levels.  It is you against the architect… you against the weather…  and ultimately you against YOU as you deal with those inner fears and other nasty mind games.

It is also nice to occasionally thrust yourself into another challenge:   you against a match play opponent, or against the field in a stroke play event.

Many of you play in Golf Association of Philadelphia championships or team matches, but did you know there is another organization that invites you to compete?   The Philly Publinks Golf Association is gearing up for another season and has put out the welcome mat for all players, whether or not you have a club affiliation.

While most of their events are gross scoring (no handicaps factored in), PPGA President Pat Sullivan says you don’t have to be near scratch to fit right in and enjoy yourself.
