PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The upcoming season’s line up for Peter Nero and the Philly Pops is announced

This is Nero’s 34th season; it starts October 12 with “Dancing and Romancing” — a tribute to Fred Astaire and Ginger Rogers. Holiday Pops in December. In February it’s “Mostly Gershewin” where jazz pianist Marcus Roberts performs with the pops.

Also in the line up “An evening with Lennon and McCartney”, followed by “Bond and Beyond”, and “Super Pops! Broadway”.

Maestro Nero says tickets sales have been good.

“We are getting a great response. As a matter of fact we did a comparison between this year and two years ago this time, and I would say we are a head about 500 percent this year than we were two years ago this time.”
