BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) — The former manager at a Bucks County fast food restaurant will spend at least ten years behind bars for groping the teenage girls he hired to work at the franchise.
Eduardo Tomasek pleaded no contest to the charges last year, but under a plea bargain agreement reached with prosecutors he was sentenced to ten to 24 years in state prison.
Prosecutors say the 51-year-old Bensalem man made unwanted sexual advances to seven girls at the Popeye’s Fried Chicken franchise on Street Road.
“We certainly wanted him to have a lengthy sentence in which the community would be protected as long as possible,” said Bucks County deputy district attorney Monica Furber today, “and we are certainly confident that he will not see the outside of jail for a long time.”
Court records show that Tomasek pleaded guilty more than a decade ago to sexually assaulting a teenager in Florida.
In addition to the jail sentence, he will be a registered sex offender under Megan’s Law for the rest of his life.
Furber credits the girls for coming forward to tell their stories to police.
