Private Plane Experiences Landing Gear Failure, Skids Off Runway At Philadelphia International

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- There was a rough landing at Philadelphia International Airport Monday afternoon when a private plane's landing left landing gear failed, and the aircraft slid off the runway.
Airport Spokesperson Victoria Lupica says it happened a little before 1 p.m. The pilot, the plane's sole passenger, was uninjured.
Although the mishap led to a runway closure, Lupica says it did not impact operations.
