PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Two people walked into their home only to find it being robbed early Saturday morning.
The two victims walked into their Feltonville home on the 4500 block of D Street to find two suspects in the middle of a burglary.
According to detectives, one victim pushed the other out the front door and down the front steps to get him out of the way. The 47-year-old man who was pushed suffered a laceration to the head. The first victim, a 31-year-old, was shot in the hip.
The suspects fled the scene after being unable to put any of the possessions into a bag, and police believe three or four shots were fired.
The victims were transported to Temple University Hospital, where the one who was shot is being treated.
Police believe the suspects are two black males. Shell casings were recovered from the scene.
The incident remains under investigation.
