Phillies Select Contract Of Outfielder Juan Pierre
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – The Phillies announced they have accepted the contract of outfielder Juan Pierre, and he is on on the 40 man roster. Pierre came to camp as a non-roster invitee.
Many believed the spot that was up for grabs would come down to Pierre and Scott Posednik. Todd Zolecki of MLB.COM said that Scott Posednik talked to general manager Ruben Amaro, and isn't optimistic about his chances to make the Phillies roster.
