PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A bicyclist is in critical condition after being hit by a pick-up truck in Northeast Philadelphia early Monday morning.

The incident happened at about 12:30 a.m. near the intersection of Academy Road and Linden Avenue.

Authorities say the 31-year-old male was riding his bike on Academy Road when he was struck by a pick-up truck.

The victim was rushed to Aria Health’s Torresdale Hospital where he is listed in critical condition.

Authorities say the driver of the vehicle did stop at the scene and helped both the victim and police.

So far, no charges have been filed.
