UPPER DARBY, Pa. (CBS) — Upper Darby Township police have three women and a teenage boy in custody after a bizarre incident Friday at Upper Darby High School.
Police Superintendent Michael Chitwood says Sarah Butler, her two adults daughters, and a teenage son showed up at the high school in a van. Three times they tried to get another student out of school. They were turned away twice.
The third time, Chitwood says, it got strange.
“These people proceeded to take their clothes off, stripped naked, and started running around the parking lot of the high school. Police were called. By the time police got there, the four of them were in the van.”
Chitwood says they had linked arms and were chanting “Jesus is Lord” and other religious sayings. All four were taken into custody.
Chitwood says Sarah Butler appears to be the ringleader and will be charged with open lewdness, disorderly conduct, and other misdemeanors at least.
