Thieves Swipe $450K In Jewelry In 45 Seconds From Evesham Store

EVESHAM, N.J. (CBS) – Police in New Jersey are searching for three suspects who stole nearly $500,000 in high-end watches in less than a minute during a smash-and-grab robbery.

The incident happened Thursday at about 7:45 p.m. at the Jay Roberts Jewelry Store on Rt. 73 in Evesham.

According to investigators, three black males entered the jewelry store, all wearing dark clothing and bandanas to cover their faces.

Once inside the store, the suspects ordered all employees to get on the ground. One of the suspects was carrying a hammer and another was carrying a large white colored laundry-style bag.

Police say it only took the suspects 45 seconds from the time they entered the store until they ran out.

The thieves targeted high-end watches that totaled approximately $450,000.

Witnesses told police the suspects fled in a dark-colored sedan with a dull finish with an unknown New Jersey license plate.
