Police: Video Shows Alleged Center City Abduction

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for two suspects who were caught on tape abducting an employee from a Center City parking garage Wednesday night. The suspects later dropped the victim off in Kensington.

The incident began at about 7:30 p.m. at the 5 Star Parking Garage in the 700 block of Chestnut Street.

The 32-year-old victim told police two black men driving a newer model white minivan pulled up to her window. According to sources, the victim told police the men claimed to have a broken window and needed her help. She says she stepped out to investigate and that's when the men forced her into the back of the minivan and taped her hands and feet.

The victim says the men then drove her to Kensington near Castor and Aramingo Avenues and dropped her off after taking her cell phone and debit card. The victim was not injured.

Police say surveillance video from the garage shows the victim being forced into the minivan by the suspects. The video also captured a car being stolen from the same garage.

Investigators are working to determine if the abduction and stolen car are connected.

The investigation is continuing.
