PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The flower show is packing them in, in record numbers this year as gardeners flock to enjoy the sights and smells of Hawaii.
Opening weekend was bigger than ever according to Drew Becher, President of the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society. He says more than 42,000 people poured thru the doors — 14,000 more than last year.
“We have received nothing but positive feedback on the new floor plan, new exhibits, new interactive stuff, so we’re really, really, really excited about it.”
Attendance has continued to be up. In fact, Becher says there were so many people waiting to get in Monday morning, they opened the doors 20-minutes early.
The show runs through Sunday.
