Philadelphia Police Release Most Wanted Video

By Mike Dunn

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - City Hall is taking to the airwaves -- and the internet -- in a stepped-up effort to nab the most violent wanted criminals.

Starting this week, photos of the city's 100 most wanted will be shown on the city government station, channel 64, as well as in a slide display at the police department's website, www.phillypolice.com.

Karima Zedan, Director of Communications for the department, says warrants are out for all 100, but investigators need the public's help:

"It's unfortunate, but the more people we can have view these violent felons, the better chance we have of actually getting these people off the streets."

Anyone with information on any of these 100 most wanted should call 911, or 215-686-TIPS, 686-TIPS, or email tips@phillypolice.com. There's also a link for tips at the phillypolice.com site.
