Mother Of Abandoned Baby Noel Arrested In Philadelphia

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – An arrest has been made in the case of abandoned Baby Noel.

Patricia “Dina” Crawley, 33, was arrested on Wednesday around 3:45 p.m. in the 2700 block of Croskey Street.

Police have been searching for Crawley, who allegedly abandoned her newborn baby on a North Philadelphia street corner, since late December.

“Baby Noel,” as the infant was called, was found by two street cleaners inside a cardboard box in Strawberry Mansion on Dec. 21, 2011. The infant was just hours old and still had the umbilical cord attached.

Crawley is currently in police custody facing charges of Attempted Murder and related offenses.

    That face no remorse, just anger. She is one heartless woman. Proper thing to do is tie her tubes; she should never be able to have another child.

    If the system works. this mother will never be able to regain custody of this child. Two other children have already been placed in the care of the father due to her inability to provide stability every child needs. Hopefully, this child will never meet this woman.
