Philadelphia Ranks Sixth Best For Singles

By Chelsea Karnash

PHILADELPHIA, Pa. (CBS) –If you spent Valentine's Day alternately sobbing into your pillow and stuffing your face with expensive chocolates, there is some good news: Philadelphia has just been named one of the best cities in the country for singles.

Yes, after being ranked the least attractive, fattest and worst for both men and women (among other things), the City of Brotherly Love has been selected by Kiplinger Magazine as one of the best to find love.

Coming in at number six on the magazine's top 10 cities for singles list, Philadelphia ranked based on factors like median household income, average date night tab, percentage of unmarried households and cost of living.

Furthermore, one in two Philadelphians is unmarried, one in three has at least a bachelor's degree and one in five is between the ages of 20 and 34.

Cities that ranked even better than Philly for singles include Baltimore, LA and the somewhat surprising number one pick, Ann Arbor, Michigan. To view the full list, click here.
