KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. (CBS) — Valley Forge Casino Resort has announced a date for its grand opening. Casino gambling will be coming to Montgomery County, Pa. late next month.
The Valley Forge is billing itself as “Pennsylvania’s most dynamic and sophisticated casino.” The doors will open to the public on March 31st, after two test nights — on March 27th and 29th — that will benefit local charities.
The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board will be watching on those nights, and if all goes well the casino will get final state approval.
The casino will feature 600 slot machines and 50 table games. On the dining and entertainment side, there will be a nightclub and seven new restaurants, including three “micro-restaurants” located on the casino floor.
The complex is expected to create more than 650 permanent jobs.
