A Jurassic Weekend At Paleopalooza

By John McDevitt

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel University will be hosting a fossil-filled extravaganza this weekend, February 18-19, for the whole family.

You can learn about a bunch of things, like transitional fossil activity, and dinosaurs at Paleopalooza, held every year at the Academy.

"It's in connection with our Dinosaur Hall and also as a part of our Paleopalooza festival the great things that happen is our scientists who are normally behind the scenes come out and they talk to our visitors," Dr. Jacqueline Genovesi, is senior director of education at the academy. "So our Paleontologist will all be on the floor that weekend Saturday and Sunday."

And Buddy the T-Rex and Dr. Scott from PBS Kids' "Dinosaur Train" will be doing shows in the auditorium. Those tickets cost an additional $7.50, on top of the general admission price.
