Investigators say the little girl went to a neighborhood store at about 2 p.m. Thursday.  About an hour later, the girl came home and told her mom that a man had grabbed her and took her to a nearby home where he sexually assaulted her.

The arrest came after the victim showed police where the suspect took her and after police carefully studied surveillance video in the neighborhood where the incident took place.

Turner was questioned at length overnight and was officially charged this morning.

Investigators say Turner chose his victim at random.  Turner remains behind bars.

Why would a 6 year old be aloud to walk to the store alone? I just can’t get over that! It really doesn’t matter what type of area you live in, a 6 year old should not be aloud to do that.

  2. Suzy says:

This can happen anywhere. Parents really need to be more responsible for their children! I have a 6 year old daughter and never in my right mind would I allow my baby to go anywhere by herself. My prayers go out to this innocent little girl and her family.
