Philadelphia (CBS)– Hundreds of volunteers from three school districts in South Jersey participated in the 2012 Super Bowl Helping Hand Fundraiser.
It’s considered one of the largest community service projects in Washington Township. The money from the sales of the hoagies will go to 12 local families, who have children with severe medical conditions.
Organizers say the money will help ease the financial burden these families have had to face because of medical expenses.
Last year the group sold more than 3,000 hoagies and raised $30,000 with the help of more than 200 volunteers. This year they hope to sell 4,000 hoagies.
