POTTSTOWN, Pa. (CBS) – A mother of two was found murdered inside her Montgomery County home early Thursday morning, authorities say.
The discovery was made at about 4:00 a.m. inside a home in the 400 block of Cherry Street in Pottstown.
Police were called to the home and discovered the body of 31-year-old Alicia Schmidt inside.
An autopsy is expected to be performed to determine an exact cause of death.
So far, no arrests have been made.
Investigators say Schmidt has two children who were unharmed and are in the care of relatives.
