Crews Battle Fire In Center City High-Rise Apartment

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Authorities are investigating a fire that broke out inside a Center City high-rise apartment Sunday afternoon.

Firefighters were called out to the Park Towne Place Apartments in the 2200 block of Benjamin Franklin Parkway at about 1:40 p.m.

The fire started on the 11th floor and struck one alarm. Crews were able to quickly extinguish the fire a short while later.

No injuries were reported.
