Knife-Wielding Suspect Sought In Robbery Of South Philadelphia Deli

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Police are searching for a suspect who was caught on tape using a knife to rob a deli in South Philadelphia.

The robbery happened January 7th at about 2:30 p.m. at Phan’s Deli located at 1542 South 6th Street.

Investigators say the suspect entered the deli and approached an employee behind the counter and pulled a large knife from his coat and demanded money.

The employee gave the suspect $45 in cash before the suspect ran out of the store.

The suspect is described as an Asian male, 20 to 30-years-old, with a medium build and short black hair. He was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt with blue jeans and light-colored gloves.
