BLACKWOOD, N.J. (CBS) –A layer of snow and ice covered the surface on some roads in South Jersey, fortunately most drivers recognize the icy sheen from a distance and they’re smart enough to slow down.
Some drivers say the major routes are pristine, but it’s the secondary roads where problems arise. There were a few accidents reported as a result.
Although there was no snow accumulation, the small amount that fell hit frozen ground and stuck immediately, creating icy conditions on the blacktop.
In the Haddonfield area, it gets pretty dicey near Highland Avenue and Chews Landing Road.
