CHERRY HILL, NJ (CBS) – Shoppers are rushing around to get those last minute gifts. Just trying to find a parking spot near a store should be a competitive sport!

There’s just one question for these consumers: why?

Colleen Martone (below), who was helping her daughter celebrate her first birthday at the Cherry Hill Mall, says, “It has always been that way for me. I can never decide on my gifts until the last minute. I don’t want to miss out on anything good.”

But another shopper, Corey, wasn’t so thrilled.

“It’s terrible — terrible,” she said.  “There are no wheelie suitcases for kids anywhere.  Everyone is out. If anyone knows where I can get one, please let me know!”

Why did she wait to the last minute?

“Because I have 20 nieces and nephews and there was no way to get it all done. Plus, there are a lot of little kids. They change their minds, so you have to give them a little extra time.”

So now she’s in search of little wheelie suitcases that her nieces can tote their dolls in.
