Lesley's Last Word: Life Without Chris Pronger?

By Lesley Van Arsdall

Life with out Pronger?

So far this season Chris Pronger has been out with an eye injury, knee injury and a mysterious illness, which now looks like concussion like symptoms.

This time the team has no timetable for when he could be back. They say he is out indefinitely. Also he will be seeing two specialists in Pittsburgh on Wednesday.

Both were used by Sidney Crosby when he had his concussion (and who is still dealing with problems after taking a hit from teammate Chris Kunitz the other night). I really hope he is ok -- but this seems pretty bad.

Forget the fact that he's the captain, despite missing significant time with injuries, he's still putting up big numbers at this point in the season, with one goal and 11 assists in 13 games. (and that was while playing with a bad knee.)

The Flyers had said that Pronger would be able to return in time for the winter classic, but now there's no timetable for when he'll play again.
