By Jim Donovan:  The Philadelphia Parking Authority has announced that there will be free meter parking city wide after 11:00 AM every Saturday between Thanksgiving and New Year’s Day.

While meter parking will be free on Thanksgiving and Saturdays after 11:00 AM, all other non-meter violations such as stopping prohibited, or other unauthorized parking infractions will be  enforced.

Also discounted parking will be available every Saturday for $8 from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM at the following Parking Authority parking
facilities:

AutoPark @ Olde City(2nd & Sansom)
AutoPark @ Independence Mall(5th & Market) AutoPark @ 8th & Filbert AutoPark @ the Gallery(10th & Filbert) AutoPark @ Jefferson(10th & Ludlow) AutoPark @ JFK Plaza(underground garage 16th & Parkway)

If the patron exits after 5 PM, the regular posted rates will apply.
