PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- After back to back losses to Winnipeg and Carolina, the Flyers look to return to the win column tonight as they visit the New York Islanders.
Despite the recent struggles, the Flyers just sit two points out of first place in the Atlantic Division (behind Pittsburgh) and they bring a very good 11-6-3 record into tonight.
KYW’s Matt Leon spoke with the Flyers beat writer for the Philadelphia Inquirer Sam Carchidi about the match-up.
The Flyers will be without defenseman Chris Pronger, he is out with a virus.
Flyers swept the season series from the Isles a season ago. This is the first of six meetings between the two division rivals this season.
