Police Investigate Drive-by Shooting In Ardmore

ARDMORE, Pa. (CBS) –- Police are investigating a drive-by shooting that sent a man to the hospital with a head wound.

According to police, four shots were fired from a grey Toyota SUV on the 2700 block of E County Line Road outside of Hykel's Bar & Grille in Ardmore just after 7 p.m. Tuesday night.

"One stray shot went through the front window of Hykel's bar, fortunately it did not strike any of the patrons in the bar at the time," says Haverford Township Police sergeant Shant Bedrossian. The bar was full at the time of the shooting.

A man, with a woman believed to be his wife and three children, suffered a graze wound to his head and was taken to the Lankenau Medical Center where he was treated and released. "The victim was shot in the forehead at the right eyebrow, the emergency room doctors removed the bullet. He's very lucky it did not penetrate his skull."

Police say interviews are continuing with witnesses and the victim.

There is no word on the motive in this shooting.

Police are still searching for the suspect and the vehicle.
