Suspect Crashes Stolen Car On The Roosevelt Boulevard

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A suspect remains in the hospital after crashing a reported stolen car into a pole in North Philadelphia early Wednesday morning.

The crash happened at about 3 a.m. along the Roosevelt Boulevard and 7th Street in the city’s Hunting Park section.

According to investigators, the incident began when the car was stolen from Coatesville.

While driving on the Roosevelt Boulevard, the suspect lost control of the car and slammed it into a utility pole. Officers said the suspect tried to flee the scene, but he taken into custody and transported to Temple University Hospital.

The incident remains under police investigation.
