PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Bicycle Coalition of Greater Philadelphia is planning a series of seminars as part of this weekend’s Philadelphia bike expo.
Alex Doty, executive director of the coalition, says the expo itself, will be set up inside the 23rd Street Armory in center city and operate Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
“So you get to see some really nice, sweet bikes and get to see a lot of the gear and apparel that goes with biking.”
And, Doty says, visitors also will have an opportunity to attend special seminars featuring bicycling advocates and policymakers in the nearby Griffin Hall in the First Unitarian Church on Chestnut Street.
“We’re also there talking about how it is that we’re trying to make the city of Philadelphia and the surrounding counties more bicycle and even pedestrian friendly.”
