MILLVILLE,N.J. (AP) New Jersey State Police say a former Millville High School football star missing since Sept. 20 was killed.
The death of 19-year-old Khalil Wallace has been classified as a homicide. His body was found Thursday in a lake in Downe Township, Cumberland County.
Authorities say the 19-year-old was last seen climbing into a van in Woodbine after buying a bag of chips at a nearby store. His mother told The Press of Atlantic City that her son’s cell phone was found in Philadelphia.
The 2010 graduate played wide receiver at Rowan University, earning an Offensive Rookie of the Week honor in the New Jersey Athletic Conference. He was not playing football this semester.
