PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Many of our recently released videos have already become television staples.  Case in point: John Travolta’s 1994 gem, Pulp Fiction, a crime thriller that galvanized viewers in its day and is now reborn as a Blu-ray production.

Of more recent vintage is Fast Five, with Vin Diesel and Paul Walker leading a reunion of stars in a high-octane thriller filmed in Rio de Janeiro.

Then there’s the five-disk gem “The Alfred Hitchcock Essentials Collection,” and a 15-disk collection of “The Lost Episodes of The Honeymooners,” most of which originated on “The Jackie Gleason Show.”

Bette Midler is the focus in “The Showgirl Must Go On,” taped before thousands in Las Vegas.

Then there’s the HBO special, “The Pee Wee Herman Show on Broadway,” which originated as a Saturday morning TV kid’s show.

And if you’re casting about for an unusual entry, how about the 24-episode special, “Drinking Made Easy”?
