PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Philadelphia police are investigating a hit-and-run accident that happened in the city’s Juniata neighborhood early Saturday morning.

A 42-year-old man was struck by a car a little after 3 a.m. while crossing near the 4200 block of Whitaker Avenue.

He is listed in critical condition at Temple University Hospital, according to police.

The Honda Civic believed to have hit the man was found abandoned near Ella and Wishart streets.

Police are still working to track down the driver and the passengers.
