Community Group Hosting Event To Highlight Well-Behaved Teens

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A community organization is addressing the recent flash mobs in Philadelphia by highlighting the positive contributions by city youth.

A new organization, ABC Men, which stands for Able Bodied Christian Men, wants to diffuse the negative images of young violent teens running the streets of Philadelphia by holding an event - Calling All Youth - to show off the talents of kids who stay out of trouble.  Johnetta Wleh is executive director of ABC.

"We've had a lot of media coverage with this flash mob incident and we're looking at is as - what about the positive youth? What about those who are doing good things in the community?" asks Johnetta Wleh, executive director of ABC. "Let's take the time to highlight them."

The event - which includes speeches and a mini talent show -  is Saturday at 11am at West Cobbs Creek Park. For more info, go to www.abcmen.org.
