Suspect Sought In Armed Robbery Of Delaware Wawa

CLAYMONT, Del. (CBS) – Police in Delaware are searching for an armed gunman who robbed a convenience store early Thursday morning.

The robbery happened at about 4 a.m. at the Wawa convenience store located in the 300 block of Ridge Road in Claymont, Delaware.

According to investigators, the suspect entered the store and pointed a handgun at a 29-year-old employee. He then threatened the employee and demanded money from the register. The employee complied with the suspect’s demands and turned over an undisclosed amount of cash to the suspect.

The suspect then fled the store on foot. No injuries were reported during the robbery.

The suspect is described as a white male, 5’10”-6’0” tall, 150-165 lbs. with an average build.
