National Constitution Center Announces Innovative Fall Exhibition

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) -- Philadelphia's National Constitution Center provided a sneak-peak on Monday of a new exhibit coming this fall. It will highlight the struggles of seven ordinary Americans who fought for equality during the World War II era.

It's called 'Fighting for Democracy: Who is the 'We' in "We the People?"

National Constitution Center President David Einhorn said visitors will see a multi-media exhibition combined with live theater:

"This exciting exhibit-theater hybrid pushes the boundaries of the traditional museum experience in a way that has not been done before."

The live performances tell the compelling stories of Americans of Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, Navajo, Filipino, Jewish and African-American backgrounds, according to director David Bradley:

"They challenged and expanded the concept of we the people."

The exhibition will run from mid-October through mid-January.
