Delaware County Municipal Worker Dead After Falling In Wet Well, 1 injured
ASTON, Pa . (CBS) -- Officials say a worker who was freed from a Delaware County well Thursday morning has died.
According to police, the incident happened at about 11:30 a.m. at a pumping station on the 100 of Team Road in Aston, Pa.
At least two Southwest Delaware County Municipal Authority employees who were working on a wet well fell in and became trapped.
Police say one of the employees was pronounced dead at the scene and the other was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
The two other employees were not injured.
Aston Township Police Department is investigating the incident.
The identity of the deceased worker has not been released.
