Thieves Swipe $120K From Mann Music Center

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - Philadelphia police are investigating a robbery that happened just after noon today at the Mann Music Center for the Performing Arts in Fairmount Park.

According to Philadelphia police and Mann Center officials, two males armed with a gun made off with $120,000 from the administrative area of Wolfgang Puck's catering enterprise, which operates at the park.

No one was hurt in the robbery.

A dragnet was immediately begun for the two men, last seen driving a light blue minivan through the park, headed toward Belmont Avenue.

The Mann Center is the summer home of the Philadelphia Orchestra and hosts a wide variety of performances. The most recent onstage show at the Mann was Wednesday night.

According to a statement from Catherine Cahill, president and CEO of the Mann Center for the Performing Arts, the theatre will be open and ready to host tonight's performance by the alternative-rock band "Death Cab for Cutie."
