Nnamdi Asomugha On Sportsradio 610 WIP

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Newest Eagles cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha was on Sportsradio 610 WIP Wednesday morning and said he is just becoming aware of the much-heated rivalry between the Birds and the Dallas Cowboys.

Asomugha, who signed a five-year, $60 million contract that includes $25 million in guaranteed money, was on with Glen Macnow and Rob Ellis from training camp at Lehigh University.

Asomugha said that he is just finding out about the rivalry with Dallas and that he didn't know about it until he arrived in Philadelphia.

He told Macnow and Ellis that the Eagles were at the top of his list and that the "Eagles came out on top each time" every time he weighed his free-agency options.

Listen To The Entire Asomugha Interview:

With Asomugha joining Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie and Asante Samuel in the Eagles secondary, many have speculated that Samuel could be on the trading block.

But Asomugha said all three could pose trouble for opposing offenses.

"It allows us to put our top talents on the field at the same time. It's definitely going to work in our favor," Asomugha said.

Asomugha said he is flexible and could line up at cornerback or safety if the team needed him to do so.

"I can play anywhere. Wherever they want me to play I can play and do a good job for the squad."
