Mirrored aviators work well on long/oblong faces and heart-face shapes. They take up more "room" or "space" on longer faces and the tear drop shape brings the attention to the eyes and away from the overall wideness of the forehead for those with heart-shaped faces (which is categorized by a wider forehead).
Round sunglasses are great on square face shapes. They will soften angles and make face appear more balanced.
Oversized cat eye sunglasses compliment a larger oval face shape and can also work well on a rounder face as the exaggerated silhouette appears to stretch the width of the eye area and provide a nice uplift in the cheekbone area.
Retro-square- wayfarer styles work well on oval, round, square and slightly angular face shapes. The rectangular shape offsets facial roundness and compliments/evens out a square jaw line.
