91-Year-Old Man, Son Found Slain In Delaware Home

DOVER, Del. (AP) -- Dover police say a 91-year-old man and his 60-year-old son were found slain in their home.

A relative who had been unable to contact 91-year-old Howard A. Sheppard and his son, 60-year-old son Howard R. Sheppard, found them dead about 9:30 a.m. Monday.

Police say the men died of apparent head trauma during an encounter with an intruder over the weekend. Their bodies have been turned over to the state medical examiner's office for autopsy.
