Philadelphia Cab Driver Dies After Suffering Medical Condition
PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – A Philadelphia cab driver died after suffering a medical condition and crashing his vehicle into two cars early Tuesday morning.
Investigators initially thought the incident was a hit and run, but later determined that the driver suffered the medical condition while driving.
The incident happened at about 5:30 a.m. at 37th and Chestnut Streets in University City.
Police say the 64-year-old cab driver suffered a medical condition, possibly a heart attack, and crashed into two other vehicles.
The cab driver was taken to the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania where he was later pronounced dead.
The incident remains under investigation.
