Beautiful Day For The Philadelphia Triathlon

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Thousands turned out to watch and to participate in the annual Philadelphia triathlon in Fairmount Park.

Beth Peterson and her husband Brent traveled all the way from Jersey City. Beth was the cheerleader and she waved a sign that read “Go Brent!”

Beth and Brent say the event is a test of endurance but it all promotes awareness and get people involved in the fight against diabetes, which helps promote education and research.

Many of the participants traveled to Philadelphia from up and down the east coast.
