Phillies: Oswalt Goes Onto Disabled List

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - The Phillies today announced a host of roster moves.

After leaving last night's start in St. Louis after two ineffective innings (see related story), Roy Oswalt has been placed on the 15-day disabled list with lower back inflammation.

To take his place on the roster, righthander Scott Mathieson is being brough back from AAA Lehigh Valley.

Also some good injury news: backup catcher Brian Schneider has been activated off the DL.  He had been out for more than a month with a hamstring injury.  Dane Sardinha goes down to the Iron Pigs to make room for him.

Also, lefthander JC Romero -- designated for assignment on June 16th -- has been given his outright release.
