NETHER PROVIDENCE, Pa. (CBS) -- A young boy and his grandfather out for a stroll made a gruesome discovery.

Police say that while it is early, it appears the man may have been dead for a week or two. Sources tell Eyewitness News that investigators found a noose near the body. Currently, police say there is no indication of foul play, but the exact cause of death and the man's identity remain a mystery.

Chief Flannery explained that the case is, "still under investigation. There is a missing person out of Radnor, but we do not have any information that this individual is the same. We do not know."

Family and friends recently reported 45-year-old Gerald Christopher missing. Police say the personal trainer from Radnor hasn't been seen or heard from since June 1st.

On Tuesday, Radnor police held a press conference asking the public to be on the lookout and adding they do not suspect foul play in that case.

Meanwhile, police say the recovered body has been taken to the Delaware County Medical Examiner's Office as part of the ongoing investigation.
