2 Injured Jumping From Burning Building In Bensalem

BENSALEM, Pa. (CBS) – Two people were injured after they were forced to jump from a burning building in Bucks County early Thursday morning.

The fire started at about 2 a.m. on Gray Avenue and Bristol Pike (Route 13) in Bensalem.

When firefighters arrived at the scene, they were encountered by flames that were engulfing the two-story twin building.

Fire officials said two residents inside the building were forced to escape by jumping out an upper-story window. They were taken to a nearby hospital for treatment of undisclosed injuries.

It took firefighters approximately an hour to bring the blaze under control.

The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
