4 People In Critical Condition After Gloucester Township Car Accident

GLOUCESTER TOWNSHIP, N.J. (CBS) - A motor vehicle accident in Gloucester Township sent four people to the hospital and held up traffic for over three hours Monday afternoon.

At about 2:15 p.m., Township Police responded to Sicklerville Road near Freeway Golf for a report of a head-on car accident.

Police say 36-year-old Joseph Riley Jr. of Sicklerville was driving his Ford Expedition southbound on Sicklerville Road when he crossed the center line of the roadway. Riley's vehicle struck an oncoming Land Rover driven by Myrna Jackson, 40, of Pine Hill. Two passengers were in Jackson's car, Hafeezah Fitts, 35, and Gabriella Keith, 18.

All three victims of the Land Rover and Riley had to be extricated from their vehicles by the fire department. The victims were transported to Cooper Hospital in Camden where they are in critical condition, according to authorities.

Gloucester Township Police continue to investigate this incident.
