Pharmaceutical Company Offering Scholarship Opportunities To Students With ADHD

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) - A local pharmaceutical company is offering scholarship opportunities especially designed to help those students with the disorder known as ADHD.

Those high school students who live with Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder and plan to pursue college now have a unique scholarship opportunity. The new ADHD Scholarship developed by Shire Pharmaceutical will include a monetary award and a prepaid year of ADHD coaching services to help with the transition from high school into college or whatever comes after. Mike Yasick is senior vice president of Shire's ADHD business.

"Beyond financial, there really are these transition needs and creating strategies to continue to manage your ADHD as you enter college, creating ways for you to be more effective. And that's what it's all about.
