Man Struck, Killed By Falling Tree Limb In Delaware County

RADNOR TOWNSHIP, Pa. (CBS) – A man died in Delaware County Thursday afternoon after a tree limb fell and struck him, according to authorities.

The unidentified male was sitting on a bench on Radnor Trail in Radnor Township when the incident happened. The trail runs along the former Philadelphia and Western trolley line between 69th Street and Strafford and is typically used by hikers and cyclists.

Authorities say the trail is maintained by the township who trimmed several overhanging branches earlier this spring.

Officials continue to investigate this case.
