Center City Festival Thrives Under Sunny Skies

PHILADELPHIA (CBS) – Walnut Street was closed for the annual Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival on Saturday.

The west side of Walnut Street was crowded for the annual Rittenhouse Row Spring Festival.

"And you can see everybody's having fun," festival goers.

Folks say being there showed them that Rittenhouse Row has a lot to offer.

"I have to tell you, there are stores here that I've never heard of before that I was really surprised to see them and I thought I knew all the shops on Walnut Street."

"There's a good variety of foods here."

And what did they enjoy most about the festival?

"A lot of characters on the street today, you can just watch them for awhile."

"You have no idea what a variety of people we have in Philadelphia until you watch them go by, but it's wonderful because it shows you what a vibrant city Philadelphia is. This is a wonderful city and there are so many things to do and see in it!"
